    Cover is a little small

The cover is just a smidge too small in the stern. I had to trim the wood support slats so their arc was smaller when installed in the boat. I also have to add extra attachment points on the sides by the stern (cover to top of gunwale)

    Not such a good fit

I purchased this cover for my brand new West Marine Water Tender 9.4. TG Watersports delivered the cover promptly. But the fit isn't quite right, the fabric cover is about an inch too narrow at the stern and the wood slats are too long (create too high an arc). I was able to make do with the following:

    1. Follow the instructions through placing the wet slats into the sockets so the slats will dry in the curved shape. Once dry remove the slats.

    2. With some effort, it is possible to just get the fabric over the stern so that the tops of the gunwale hold it in place. Leave the cover like that overnight before attempting to use the snap screw studs. Apparently this stretches the fabric just a bit.

    2. With the slats out of the boat, insert the snap screw studs as described in the instructions. I was able to get 4 of the 7 studs into the underside of the rub rail as instructed. For the middle snap in the bow (with the black strap) I had to put the screw stud into the side of the gunwale over the rub rail. I could have gotten the two stern studs into the underside of the rub rail, but that is where the factory fastened the rubber to the gunwale. I used the outside edge of the rub rail instead.

    3. I used some outdoor Velcro with adhesive to fasten the sides of the fabric to the tops of the side gunwales right at the stern.

    4. I took the dried curved slats and marked them so that they would just reach the inside edge of the gunwales at the sockets. I then cut the slats. This gave me a much smaller arc which fit under the fabric.

I haven't tested this in the rain yet but I think the fabric is tight enough so that the water should roll off and not puddle.

    Mooring Cover

This fairly lightweight cover is the perfect fit for a Water Tender 9.4. It is easy to install or remove. Not sure how it will hold up to seriously rainy weather. We shall see as a N. California winter is just around the corner. Final note: Customer Service was outstanding!
